The Amos Fund is a nonprofit organization based in Sterling, Illinois, which provides funds to help people who cannot afford veterinary care for their pets. We work with many veterinarian locations across the Sauk Valley area to provide care to these pets. The Amos Fund was started and named after Deb Proctor’s cockapoo Amos. This fund was started because Amos needed medication to manage an enlarged heart condition. When Amos died and she looked at vet bills she noticed that the vet was forgiving some of the charges. Deb decided to start the Amos Fund to be able to give back and support others who cannot afford veterinary care for their pets.
We work with a few veterinarian clinics in the area to provide care for pets in need. Reach out to the vet clinic closest to you if your pet needs care but you cannot afford it.
The Amos Fund relies on the support of generous donations to continue to provide funding for vet care. Your donations will provide much-needed veterinary care for a pet whose parent is in need. As an added benefit, your contribution will be tax-deductible!
